To that end, school nurses facilitate positive student responses to normal development; promote health and safety including a healthy environment; intervene with actual and potential health problems; provide case management services; and actively collaborate with others to build student and family capacity for adaptation, self-management, self advocacy, and learning. A Pennsylvania Certified School Nurse
- Has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Has a Pennsylvania License as a Registered Nurse
- Has completed the requirements from one of the approved College/University School Nurse Certificate programs
- Has a Level I Certificate as an Education Specialist from the Pennsylvania Department of Education
