PASNAP School Nurse Awards

To honor the contributions of school nurses statewide by focusing on one school nurse and one school nurse administrator annually who has demonstrated excellence in their school nursing practice.

Regional School Nurse Excellence Award
Several years ago, PASNAP initiated the regional award program to recognize outstanding work done by school nurses for the school children in the Commonwealth. Anyone may submit a nomination for a region award. Complete the form and mail to the appropriate region representative by December 15th of each year. The criteria are:
  1. A registered professional nurse certified to practice school nursing in Pennsylvania by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
  2. A member of PASNAP for the current year and preceding year.
  3. May not be a Board Member of PASNAP.
Click here for the nomination form.

Winners will be notified by January 30th. The award will be presented at the annual banquet in conjunction with the Annual Education Conference held each spring.

Each region award winner will then be asked to complete the NASN School Nurse or School Nurse Administrator of the year application for the following award year. Contact the Pennsylvania NASN Director for additional questions regarding the NASN application process.
